This is the page where I post military-related organizations, stories, or events. This month I’m happy to bring you a list of bloggers I met recently on my trip to Detroit ~ mostly home improvement and decor bloggers who are reporting on different events going on across the country. But they also have really amazing DIY websites that every PCS maven should visit!
24/7 Moms – Trisha is a mom to five who likes to keep it simple while writing about moms, for moms.
Beneath My Heart – Traci is a popular home décor and DIY blogger that shares renovation, craft and design ideas.
Brown Paper Packages – Kierste is a bubbly DIY blogger who shares lovely project ideas for the whole home.
Decor Chick – Emily shares room-by-room decor ideas and tips with her readers.
Handmade Home – Jamin and Ashley are a married couple that blog
about DIY projects around their own home, and revel in a busy life with their family.
In My Own Style – Diane focuses on home decor and design, and helps readers find their unique style.
Lovely Crafty Home – Rachael, a former engineer, tackles home improvement with an eye toward making all things beautiful!
My Repurposed Life – Gail has a real knack for taking the old and making it useful – and stylish – all over again.
Not Just a Housewife – Stacy learned early that home improvement can be affordable. She focuses on money-saving tips for the DIY enthusiast.
And my fellow military bloggers, if you don’t already know them are …
Dan at Military Avenue, the conglomerate source for all things PCS, travel, or any other kind of relocation information.
Kris at The New Normal, an Army wife and fellow nominee for Military Spouse Blogger of the Year. She fixes things with her bare hands.

Mmmmmmmmm! Fish tacos! I could eat those everyday. We live a half a mile from Rubio’s and omg, I have to stop myself from going more than once a week
Aug 07, 2011 @ 19:25:35
Aw I miss Rubio’s. Please have one for me!

I suppose you can put veggies in tacos. I will absolutely “Like” the Semper Fi Fund on Facebook and encourage my friends to do so. The Semper Fi Fund helped us financially after my husband’s car accident in Iraq last year and for that, we will be forever grateful. Thanks!

My name is Mike Snyder and I have a new web service that your readers may enjoy hearing about. The service is called Ties That Bind Us and is geared toward families with small children. It helps young children to keep a connection with their parents while they are apart. The parent can select a children’s book from our website and make a webcam recording of themselves reading the book as it is displayed on their computer. They click a button to turn the pages as they wish during the recording. This recording is called a Tie. The Tie can be played back by the child at any time from any computer connected to the Internet. I’ve written a quick post about it here: http://ourtie.blogspot.com/2011/03/bridging-military-deployment-gap-and.html.
A lot like your blog, this has really been a labor of love as well. If you take a look at the website (www.OURTIES.com), I think you and your readers will like what we are doing. The response has been overwhelmingly positive and encouraging. And I would be more than happy to talk with you to answer any questions you might have about the service. If you would like to include a link on your blog as well, we have some link images set up at: http://www.OURTIES.com/links.
Take care and I hope to talk to you soon,
Mike Snyder

Hey! New Follower from milspouse friday fill-in. Been reading back on your posts and really enjoying what you write.
Nice to see a lawyer milspouse with kids. After my paralegal degree I was going to head to law school but discovered I was pregnant and put that idea to the side. Must be tough to do it all.
